Malicious Link Protection for Chrome
LinkFence is a browser extension that protects users from phishing, scam domains, typosquatting, and malicious links in real time. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

You can clear all stored data at any time by removing the extension.
| storage | Saves and reads data in the browser's local storage area. Used for persisting preferences, lists, inspection history, cached databases, and statistics. Does not access external storage or sync data to any server. |
| alarms | Schedules periodic background tasks. Used for automatic database updates (every 1–12 hours), cache purge, and timeline trimming. Does not wake your device or run when the browser is closed. |
| tabs | Reads the URL of the currently active tab. Used to check the current website against threat and trusted domain databases and update the toolbar icon color. Does not read page content, access browsing history, or modify any web page. |
| webNavigation | Observes navigation events including redirects. Used to analyze redirect chains where a URL passes through intermediate domains. Does not block or modify navigation, inject content, or record full browsing history. |

LinkFence does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the changes will be published alongside the extension update.
